I’m so fortunate to live in such a beautiful town with lots of fantastic locations for photo sessions that provide a nice variety to the gallery. Because, let’s be honest – nobody wants to have a gallery of 30+ images and the background looks exactly the same in every single one of the pictures.
When Adrienne reached out regarding a family session that included their adult sons and new wives, she had some locations already in mind and since they were both close to each other we were able to go to both. We first met up at the marketplace in downtown Fredericksburg, which provides some nice architectural interest to the images. I love the big steps, which allow for some nice staging of a larger group in addition to a variety for individual pictures as well.
Our second location was the UMW campus, another favorite of mine. Again, the mixture of architectural elements combined with nature makes it just a perfect place. In addition, it held personal meaning to the family as one of their sons graduated from there.
