Backyard Family Portraits- Fredericksburg

There are so many great places to have your family portraits taken. However, even before porch sessions were popular, I find that quite a view families enjoy having them taken right there in their own backyard. There are many advantages to it especially when younger children are involved. It just keeps things less stressful, from changing outfits to feeding to having the opportunity to relax until it’s your time to be in the pictures.

Backyards don’t have to be fancy landscape features to turn into beautiful pictures. As a photographer I love to have access to some trees. It makes it easy to diffuse the light or just to avoid having your neighbor’s house in your pictures. A nice lawn, fences, and blooming shrubs are just some nice added feature which allow for some variety.
