Joan & Niven – Intimate Richmond Wedding

I thought I had a pretty small wedding with only a few (20) of my closest relatives attending. Once in a while I get to document some very small weddings and I must say I really, really enjoy them. While large weddings are tons of fun with all the excitement and celebrations, intimate weddings have so much going for them – and not just for practical reasons. It seems like the couple is so much more relaxed when they can really concentrate on each other -and not having to worry about pleasing any family members or guests on their special day.

You can really see the glow and happiness with Joan and Niven. I met them for the first time right before the ceremony and everything worked out so beautifully. I love Joan’s unique wedding dress with the gorgeous flower wreath! We went to a close-by park for portraits and I think we got so many more images than we were hoping for.
